Mark 14:38 (NIV)
"Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."
God is omniscient. This means, that God knows everything. However, His knowledge is not "encyclopedic" in nature. God's knowledge is experiential and fully present in circumstances. God is that all pervading presence that enables all things to radiate with existence. He is the eternal "I Am" for whom time is but a short, illusory spectrum that exists within the borderless confines of an eternal now.
Since there cannot be a thing outside of God's pervading presence, nothing can be hid from His perception. The spiritually ill feel God too far to reach, or non-existent; but even so, God is intimately acquainted with every thought, feeling, action, and regret. God is there, perceiving, not as a spectator, but as a captive participator in our acts of free will.
God is there - He knows exactly who you are and what it feels like to be like you. In fact, He intimately knows what it means to be you. He knows you by name, and He knows that you love Him. God actively and experientially perceives every aspect of our lives and the lives of all living things. He perceives all things firsthand. His vantage point is from the greatest star to the smallest of ants; from the greatest universe to the smallest of atoms. Simply, God knows everything and nothing escapes His knowledge.
Since he is there, call on Him expecting an answer. Call on His name and watch as you pray. Call out to Him believing that He is perceiving you and is about to answer. He perceives you, here and now. Accept it as a fact and watch in expectation - the Master will respond at any moment. When He does, I pray you are ready to serve at His bidding. Watch and pray, expecting an answer as you call on His name. Wait with expectation.
